Program Overview

Players First is a recreational soccer program with the mission of providing young soccer players with an opportunity to participate in a positive, inclusive, well-organized, structured environment run by professional coaches, staff, and administrators. At Players First, our focus is on putting players first, ensuring every participant has the opportunity to develop their skills, sportsmanship, and friendships. We want our players' first soccer experience to be positive, competitive, supportive, and fun.

• Players First will be offering two seasons of league play each year, Fall and Spring.

• Registration is open to all recreational players starting in Preschool through 5th Grade.

• Beginners are welcome at all ages, there are no tryouts.

• Our K-5 Kickers program is open to soccer players in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. This program includes a weekly practice on Wednesdays or Fridays and a weekly game on Saturday mornings.

• Our First Kickers program is open to soccer players in Preschool. This program is on Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30am and includes gross motor skills, technical soccer skills, fun games, and small-sided soccer games.

• Players are assigned to teams based on grade level, gender, buddy requests, coach requests, and school.  Boys and Girls will play separately in K-5 Kickers. First Kickers will be coed.

• All teams are coached by parent volunteers. Coaches will be provided with curriculum-based practice plans each week, an equipment bag, and support from our professional staff throughout the season. Visit our Volunteer Coaches page for more details.
