Volunteer Coaches

Players First requires the help of over 50 volunteer head coaches each season to support the demand and structure of our recreational soccer program. 

All volunteer head coaches will receive:

• 50% Discount on child's registration cost
  • To be reimbursed after registration
• 1 Players First polo & 1 Players First t-shirt
• Equipment: cones, pinnies, soccer balls
• Elective Preseason Coaching Symposium 
• Coach's Account on PlayMetrics
  • Supports communication and organization
  • Curriculum-based practice sessions provided
• Support from our highly-qualified coaching & administrative staff

All volunteer coaches are required to:

• Pass a background check through IYSA
• Complete SafeSport Certification
• Preschool First Kickers 
  • Coach the weekly 1 hour sessions on Saturday mornings between 8:00am-12:00pm
• K-5 Kickers
  • Coach the weekly practices on Wednesdays or Fridays from 4:30-5:30pm or 5:30-6:30pm
  • Coach the weekly games on Saturday mornings between 8:00am-12:00pm
• Coordinate and manage team communication alongside Players First Staff within PlayMetrics
• Wear Players First polo, t-shirt, or fan wear from Soccer.com to all sessions
• Bring provided equipment to all sessions

If you would like to volunteer as a head coach for your child's team, please submit your interest in coaching during the registration process. If you would prefer to be an assistant coach, please select that option during registration.
