Players First Recreational Soccer - Winter Skills Academy
We are excited to offer the Players First Winter Skills Academy, an 8-week program open to all recreational soccer players in Preschool through 5th Grade.
The Players First Winter Skills Academy will be held indoors at the Darien Sportsplex. We encourage current Players First participants, as well as children who are new to Players First, to join us for this special program!
Focus will be placed on a combination of skill-work and small-sided games. Each weekly session will be led by professional coaches with 5+ years of club coaching experience and a USSF D Coaching License or higher.

Times:
8:00-8:50am: First Kickers (Girls and Boys in Preschool, 3-5 years old)
8:50-9:40am: K-5 Kickers, Girls Only (Girls in Kindergarten - 5th Grade)
9:40-10:30am: K-5 Kickers, Boys Only (Boys in Kindergarten - 5th Grade)

Important Details:
- This is a training program focused on developing skills and confidence on the ball during the winter season. It is not a team-based, competitive league. Participants will be grouped accordingly in each session by age/grade-level and ability level for skill work and games.
- The Winter Skills Academy is open to ALL recreational soccer players Preschool-5th Grade.
- Sessions will be run by experienced, licensed club coaches each week.
- ADDED BENEFIT - Parent volunteer coaches are encouraged to continue their coaching development by observing, taking notes, or jumping in to support the coaches running the session if needed (to be determined by Players First Staff).
- Each group will be limited to 45 participants. We recommend registering early to guarantee your child's spot in the Winter Skills Academy.
